12530282 GM Crate engine.. Any good?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NAL-12530283/

What I'm looking for is a Roller cam, reliable engine thats better than my 20 year old TBI 305. My 305 leaks oil just about everywhere, has compression loss in 3 cylinders, as well as burning oil.

What I want to know is.. Is there room for improvement on this 350 if in a few years I want about.. 300 horsepower? I know Vortec heads are restricted to less than .500 lift, and it's got a peanut cam.. but I'm not looking for a 12 second car, It's my DD, gas is 90 cents per liter on a good week and I don't want to be working on it every weekend like I do now..

I know, for sure, the 250 horsepower will feel like more, I have a 3.42 POSI in my car, so my 305, as bad as it is, still goes like hell..

It's a cam change away from 375 horse (with appropriate TBI changes, of course, and gross flywheel HP, not "net" HP).
