my sons first car a 1988 camaro 305 tbi , I installed a flowmaster 80 cat back, Sunday he drove the car 10 miles ans let it sit for 2 hours then drove home when he dropped is girlfriend off it started to sh*T and sputter, He pulled the car over and called I thought it was a bad gas gauge, not. the exhaust was very hot so I thought clogged cat so I gutted it, stille no luck I borrowed a code reader not error codes I replace the map sensor not luck, but when I jam the egr valce open it run but the idle is very rought jumps betwwen 750 ans 100 rpm then dies, so I removed the egr valve it operated up and down no restriction in movement, I also checked all the fuses, and there are no vacuum leaks.
I need to pump the pedel to try to keep it running
ANY HELP OR SUGGESTION IS WELL ADVISED

update spoke the orginal owner he said he was having a problem with the dist control module change that and still nothing.

EGR valve DONE
MAP DONE
DIST Control DONE

I think Iam going to take it to a shop seems like something I cant figure out

 

well replace the computer and that was it either, so i took it to a mechanic

 

trafficliightguy, exhaust tends to be very hot. if it was hotter than normal, then the engine is running lean and you might be looking at bad O2's or a fuel pump or pressure regulator.

if the spark is good, and timed correctly, and there is now restriction to air entering the engine, and no restriction to air exiting the engine, then you're left with fuel
