ticking noise behind dash?
Ok, my car is a 91' 350 tpi. Had a problem with my car shifting late and the gas pedal sticking to the floor and then coming up slowly. Ok, so i narrowed it down to a piece of rubber getting in the way of my accelerator cable behind my gas pedal. Problem fixed, but now i am getting a faint clicking sound from behind my dash. As far as i know my 91' has an electronic speedometer. Looks like a regular analog unit though. So wtf is that ticking noise from?

Re: ticking noise behind dash?
I've heard something similar... not so much a tick but almost sounds like a thump? I haven't had time to look into it as mine does it only when driving and between 1200-1600ish... Have you tried tightening the bolts on the trim/plastic pieces on the dash? I had a ticking sound and it was the cover under the passengers side dash..

no,no, this is a faint tick, tick, tick, tick as i accelerate. It only increases in speed as i accelaerate too. Kind of like on the older car's when a speedometer cable is touching part of the car.
