Are all centerbolt head intake manifolds the same? And by that I mean will an intake maniflod from a 90 350 fit a 97 350? I know the 90 heads are swirlport and the 97 are vortec but I can't seem to find a straight answer. I found the 97 engine for a great deal and don't wanna get it if my intake man and headers won't work with it. the headers are Edlebrock shorties, I hope I'm not stuck having to buy all new stuff just to get the car running again.

 

"Centerbolt" refers to the valve cover mounting, it doesn't have anything to do with the intake.

A Vortec intake will not fit on a non-Vortec head, and vice versa.

 

Thanks I figured that but when looking for intakes by vehicle application both kept coming up. I passed on the engine anyways, it was not what I was led to believe it was. Still looking for a 5 or 6 speed and 350 or better the car can stay down till I find what I need I want it to be "right" be fore driving it again.
