threw a rod

i threw a rod in my 87 gmc s-15. how do i replace it?

You tear the engine down and rebuild it.

its got 255000 on it. do you know where i could get a good used 2.8

All that metal is somewhere in your engine. Anything short of a complete rebuild will very possibly be short lived. If looking for a used engine, try craigslist or www.car-part.com
