you think I may have bad injectors
Hi all. I know there are several threads on this issue(I know cuz I checked), but the problems seem a bit different from mine. A little history on the car. In 2009 I purchased a 1990 formula 305 tpi engine sounded good but it needed the clutch replaced(which was included in the sale) I replaced the clutch, wires, plugs and cap. Everything seemed fine until it came time for emissions testing. The car failed horribly. I took the results to a shop and the guy told me that per the test results I had 1 bank running lean and the other bank running rich. Not wanting to spend lots of money I decided since the car was running fine to me and it was just a toy, I would put it away for a while and register it as historic in 2010(no emissions test). After about 8-9 months in the garage I decided to put it back on the road. Went and filled the tank with 93 and some fuel system cleaner and cruised around no problem. After about 50 miles or so it started running horribly like it was running out of gas or not getting spark.
I changed the fuel filter, fired it up, and it's running fine. took it for a spin and soon as it get to full operating temp starts actin up again, even cuts off and won't start. Let it cool, fires right up. The other day I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and the pressure was about 35(lots of needle jitter though, dont know if thats pressure or the gauge, first time I used it). After it heated up I was revving it pretty high to see if the pressure was dropping, but I seen the opposite, when the engine would stumble, the pressure actually increased to about 42. Maybe an injector not opening? I am just wondering if I'm on the right track or barking up the wrong tree?

Re: you think I may have bad injectors
Mine did the same thing. I had 1 bad injector that would get hot and the coil would draw too much of a load on the computer. The computer sees a bad injector and kills the whole bank or in other words, it quits firing the ALL the injectors on that side of the engine.
Replace your injectors. FIC is a good place to look and they offer a discount to members, FYI.

BOTH are reputable companies, and I don't think you'll go wrong going with either.
Best of luck. Let us know how it turns out.
