82 Firebird Fuel Level Sending Unit

Found a few posts on the subject but still did not get the answers I need.
305 4 bbl, fuel gauge shows beyond full all the time.
Unplugged the sending unit at the tank and checked it with a meter, open circuit, no resistance at all and ground is good so I'm guessing bad sending unit.
Now the hard part, all my searches for sending units never list one for an 82, seems like the year is skipped by all lists.
Does anyone have a GM part number for the 82? and is it a 90 or 165 ohm unit that I would need?

Thanks In Advance

Steve

GM used a 0-90 ohm sending unit for the gas gages If you have an ohm meter Id check it at the dash with the ignition at on and make sure its not the gage.
