Intank Fuel Pump Install

Installed a new pump posted a few on different threads & diffently felt like there should be a single thread devoted to this problem!

Went to replace my intank pump due to it not working. Tried to pull the plug off the old pump & wow the plug is melted to the pump. Well the new pump came with a new plug & wires for it. Great...well i start rewiring the pump wires for the intank pump & really got worried about how to cover the new wires after connecting them to the old. Heat shrink is what i used to cover the wire connecters but im worried about it dissolving in gas...anyone have any comments on this???

I did read on the walbro intank installation instructions that you are supposed use heat shrink, but is it a special kind of heat shrink???

nope heat shrink is fine for the wiring, i left mine open in there, i used a zip tie to hold the wires in place

I preciate that tip man....def gnna do the zip ties in there so those wires dont come close to touching. But i already ordered some high dollar heat shrink last night. They supposedly use this stuff in the millitary. Its pretty much bullet proof. You can pour straight acid on it & it will not dissolve.
