Edelbrock header gaskets suck??

Ok, tonight i raced some high end BMW coupe. Yeah it was fast. Got me by about 1.5 car spaces. Anyway, afterwards my engine started ticking! Ticking would increase as i accelerated. I did manage to find a couple of loose header bolts on the passengers side. Which i did tighten. Ok, the ticking is not as loud as it was ,but it is still there. Very faint, but annoying.LOL. Is it possible that i may have blown out a header gasket? They are only two months old. Do they leak? Or could it be that my valves need adjustment? Anyone?

Re: Edelbrock header gaskets suck??

The exhaust that the loose bolts allowed to leak out could have eroded the gaskets.

Re: Edelbrock header gaskets suck??

i got tired of blowing out paper header gaskets (that's what i get for having cheap headers) and went with copper gaskets. no issues again.
