Headgasket to alloy heads question
Hi,
friend of mine has 383sbc at 3-gen firebird(stock height block, trickflow heads with 0.039in thick fel pro head gasket)
Pistons are about 0.0157" at hole at tdc.He likes to get quench to right area(~0.04").
Is there any problems if he uses clevite nitroseal 0.026" thick gasket?
Other opinion what he thinks is to use fel pro 0.015" thick rubber coated steel shim gasket. Is that ok gasket with alloy heads?Quench is maybe little too tight with those gaskets(0.0307")
