1984 trans am drag car roller whats it worth?

Just wanting to know what you guys thought this is worth
Heres the details:
2x3 box frame
ladder bar set up
fuel cell with braided line
from back of the seat all the way to the rear bumper is aluminum
all painless wiring with over head switch panel
10 point roll cage
narrowed rear end with coil overs
12 bolt rear end 4.88 gears with full spool
holley blue fuel pump and regulator
msd 2 step and msd ignition
weld rims rear with slicks 31x14.5
deep cycle batteries (2)
tach and guages
race seat with 5 point harness
ratchet shifter

Body is decent couple dents
car weights 2980 without a driver and all glass windows
fiberglass hood

This is a roller so no motor or trans

The starting price was $5000
I personally think thats pretty high for a roller car, what do you all think?

Re: 1984 trans am drag car roller whats it worth?

Well, between the car and the parts there is definately 5k there. Is this a full-frame car? If so, then most DEFINATELY! A friend of mine just sold his roller drag car for 10k in similar cond. (Full-frame) with full alum floors and mostly fiberglass body (Doors, fenders, hood, front bumper cover, hatch.) It takes a lot to full-frame these cars. A lot depends on the quality of the work... Is it a certified chassis? That says a lot for the value if it is...

Its 2x3 box tubing from the fire wall back. the quailty is pretty good it was worked on by a local shop that im familiar with and they have always done good work. As for been certified I'm not real sure. I know that the car ran 7.60 (1/8mile) with a sbc 355 and was way under powered obviously for this setup. I'd like to say it was certified to run low 6's.

Ill have to check up with the guy and see.
Thanks for your input so far

times are tough for many people these days. Let's see what happens after tommorrows election. maybe the economy will pick up, and your car will sell like hotcakes. good luck.
