Did you verify proper pushrod length with the new rockers? Did you get New rocker nuts? In some cases rockers can just be noisy.

More details needed.

What rockers are you using?

What method did you use to set the lifter preload?

Did you change the rocker ratio, say from 1.5 to 1.6? If you did, what springs are you running?

Re: put roller rockers on now making alot of noise

The roller rockers will make a sort of audable mechanical noise when in operation, but it shouldnt be loud, nor should it clatter.

Are they SA type rockers?

Also keep in mind that some TBI engines came with heads that have guide slots. This can cause potential issues if the rocker wants to align itself one way, but the guide slot wants to align another.

Re: put roller rockers on now making alot of noise

Full roller rockers are rarely referred to as quiet, they are at least "growly" due to the needle bearing fulcrum. Additional noise can be heard at the roller tips, even when adjusted properly. There should be no clatter or distinct tapping going on once warmed up.

Re: put roller rockers on now making alot of noise

i think i fig this out and there roller tip i had them on a motor in a camaro that had a spun bearing so i dont kno much about them but i believe there 1.5 the loud noise i think is because i have a bad lifter and the noise is louder now because the roller tip does this make sense? im thinking there prolli not doin no good on a stock motor so should i just put the stock ones bak on? also it started smokin again so why do yall think that is?

Re: put roller rockers on now making alot of noise

With all the complaints being posted about excessive rocker arm noise I was pleased to see the big cam companies are now tightening their specs and quality control on the bearings.

That's just one step they're taking in an effort to quiet things down.
