im driving an 86' iroc and with that year the cam was replaced in order to gain more torque but unfortunately lost horsepower. this has a 305 tpi. i already have edlebrock headers and flowmaster exhaust. i dont really know where to start when choosing a camshaft. i still want to have a half decent idol but obviously a bit of a grunt to it. what do you guys run or find has worked best for you? any input or experience would be really appreciated

If it gained more torque over stock then it probably gained hp too. Cant make one without the other.

Need to know if it's a roller block or not. You've done headers and exhaust. Next is heads and cam. If it's not a roller block, you'll need to replace the lifters as well. Also, I would replace the old springs as well. I've heard some good things about this cam:
Lunati Voodo Cam and lifter Kit
There are also Comp Cam camshaft's that are comparable to this is you'd prefer.
