I've almost finished this project to get it on the road when i came into a small prob... well rather big problem...

I'm not geting any oil to my top end or the main oil galley...

this is what i have done...

1- replaced the lifters cuz they were all bad (soaked overnight in oil)
2- checked the distributor to make sure that it was the right size groove
3- replaced and set rocker arms
4- replaced pushrods
5- run secondary oil gauge off back port (reading 45psi running)
6- changed oil and filter (5qt currently)

please someone help me out on this one i'm stuck and looked at all the oiling diagrams till i'm blue and still nuthing... i have a priming tool coming to me tomorrow but don't see how this will help if after running the motor for 5 mins its still has no oil to the top end...

 

anyone ???

 

Do you know for sure if all of the galley plugs were reinstalled? I'm assuming this engine was taken down for a rebuild (you didn't say).
