maf help please

89 gta 305tpi..heres the question..my car was throwing codes for mass burnoff relay..i replaced the relay, the mas itself, the connectors and everything associated with it..also have a new ecm at the same time..
the car idles fine but there is no power.. if i disconnect the mass when the car is running the car shuts off..what does this mean? ive had issues with the car all new power supplies, mass, relays,ground wiring and ecm..still same problem HELP MEE!!!!

Sounds like the MAF is underreporting. When you disconnect it, the ECM thinks there is no airflow, and very little fuel is delivered to the engine.

Ideally, you should scan the ECM to see what is going on. That can tell you if the MAF is underreporting. The only other way to tell is to backprobe it with a DVM, and see what the voltage is when the engine is running, but thats even harder.

Who made the MAF that you bought as a replacement? Its possible that its output calibration isnt the same as teh stock one.

its a delco i also tried it with another one from a friends car and the original one. same results with all of them.
