Intake Runners Removal: Help Needed
Hey guys, I am currently trying to remove the intake runners on my 91 z28 305 TPI. I removed all the main bolts on the driver side, but i can't seem to get the runners off, they are very loose like a loose tooth but something seems to still be holding them in place. When i doubled checked, it looked like there was another bolt bolting the runner to the manifold that was smaller than the other bolts i removed and the bolt didn't seem to have a head, so I'm not sure if its a set screw or something. I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove this bolt, or what the problem might be.
The little bolt also does not seem to have a shape like philips, flat, hex etc. Thanks in advance.

Re: Intake Runners Removal: Help Needed
Probably just the gasket sticking to the runner & the base, keeping it from fully coming off.

thats what i thought at first, no its not the gasket, i am sure of this as i tried prying off the runners with a hammer, its a smaller bolt on the bottom closer to the car...im not sure how to get it off...

Re: Intake Runners Removal: Help Needed
There is 1 bolt on each runner that is hidden. It's installed from inboard side of the runners unlike all the others that are accessed from the outboard side. It's the same Torx size as the outer ones.
On the driver's side runner, the head of the bolt is facing toward the heater box. On the passenger's side, the bolt head is facing toward the alternator.
