vacuum leak???

Hey guys I just bought a 86 firebird with a rebuilt 305 edelbrock intake and carb and I'm only pulling 10 inches of vacuum at around 700 rpm. I can't for the life of me find any leaks either. Any ideas?

Have you set your timing and idle mixture?

Timing is set to 36 total advance and I have set idle mixture numerous times trying to get more vacuum.

I'm not sure of the actual cam specs I was told I have a mild cam in it And advance is about 12 or 13 degrees at idle

Re: vacuum leak???

I mean it would have to be a pretty decent sized cam for that kind of idle vacuum right?
