quick question
I have a 92 rs with a 305. I went to change my egr valve the other day and it was abit cold. I had to move what I think was a vacuum from the bottom of the throttle body on the far back, right above the intake, and it busted. I was wondering if any1 knew where it went and if it was important. Its just a little plastic line

Re: quick question
safety isnt really the issue, if your egr is unhooked you arent going to recirculate you unused as fumes, it may cause the car to run poorly if it creates vacuum that is necessary for the engine to run perfectly, im guessing it will cause a vacuum leak because you usually need a egr block off if you delete it

Re: quick question
EGR is activated during part throttle, if EGR doesn't work due to no vacuum it may, or may not set a DTC, but it will run a bit warmer because EGR reduces Nox by reducing cylinder temp.
no problem if vapor recovery doesn't work and neither system affects engine performance they're just emissions systems.

Re: quick question
If it went anywhere else it will have a Tee at the bottom of the TB, or somewhere down the line.

Re: quick question
Ok so where does the little line off the back of the throttle body go? its a very small plastic line. i pulled it out after it broke up near the throttle body and when i pulled it out, it came out easy and the other end looked like it had been cut clean and even
EDIT- Would it be the vacuum lime to my map sensor?
