Replacing fuel tank - options...need help

My tank is completely corroded on the inside in my 91 Formula - I'm going to replace it.

I've seen a bunch of tanks from Spectra Premium and have a question. I've seen one part number WITH the filler neck and one without the filler neck.

Has anyone used either of these? I'm curious why there'd be two of the same tanks with and w/o filler neck available??

Any help would be great!

I just ordered a Spectra Premium tank (w/ filler neck on it), Spectra sending unit and a Bosch fuel pump.

ROCK AUTO's prices are amazing BTW!

Its mainly for shipping the tank. With the filler neck attached it can be really expensive to ship, so the offer the option of buying the tank without the filler neck so you can reuse your own, or buy their filler neck #FN21 separately. Even though the filler neck sticks out of the box, the way UPS and other carriers measure the package is to include the overall length of everything (including the filler neck).

Cool, thanks - That makes sense.

I ordered it with the filler neck and it should be here tomorrow. Shipping wasn't terrible, including tank, sending unit, and pump, it was like $47 total.
