TPI Swappers Guide
Anybody have this book? I was looking for a book with better pictures and diagrams of TPI than my old haynes manual.

Re: TPI Swappers Guide
What sort of pictures and diagrams are you looking for? There are a good amount of pictures/diagrams of varying quality no really nice color pictures or anything like that. Also most of the pictures and diagrams that you would probably be interested in are the same ones found in the factory manual. I happen to have the book and I wasn't really impressed with it. Its a great book from the stand point of explaining the basics of how it works and some of the detail stuff about how the manifolds differed from year to year. The problem is most of the information that is covered in that book is easily found online and half of it is just the troubleshooting flow charts from the factory manual. At that rate I'd rather just have the factory manual which on ebay typically cost less and has way more information (specific to that year car of course).

Re: TPI Swappers Guide
I found some reviews on that book and they weren't all that great, so I decided against it. But mainly I was looking for better vacuum diagrams. My Haynes manual doesn't really have much for TPI in it. I wasn't sure where all the EGR solenoid vacuum hoses go. There are a few more I wasnt sure about too. And I also found what looks like two separate o2 sensor plug ends and two separate knock sensor plug ends which has me a little confused. But I can save all that for a new thread later on if I don't figure it out. Thanks

good. I had that book it was useless. Don't think you will find better vac diags. your gonna have to guess a little. Thats what I did, shouldn't be a lot of open lines laying around.
Those other connectors that look likr they are for knock and o2 are for temp sensors in the heads.
Where is Henry, Il at. I am about 40 Miles south of chicago. I could always come out to help if you are not to far.

Re: TPI Swappers Guide
Hey I bought my engine off of somebody in that area just a couple of months ago. I'm about 120 miles south of Chicago, 30 miles south of La Salle/ Peru. A bit far, but thanks for the offer. I do appreciate it. I'll figure it out eventually, I'm just new to TPI. Ive had my LO3 for 12 years so this a bit different for me.
