Hey I have a 88 iroc L98. Today I was cruizing down the highway, got off the exit and all of a sudden I lost power and then stalled out. I popped it in nuetual and fired right back up. Power level went back to normal and drove fine for about a mile then did the same thing. Popped it in nuetual and fired right back up again. When I was stopped waiting for traffic coming off the highway it started idling at 1000rpm in drive, never did that before. I have no engine light, but I'm sure it doesn't work. Doesn't even light up when I turn the key to on. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is my only car at the moment. Haven't took a good look myself yet waiting for it to cool down some. Thanks in advance guys.

Re: low on power then stalling
All the emission stuff is gone. I don't have to worry about emission test here. I've had the car since October and haven't had the money to do the normal things one would do when you get a car used like this. The previous own took it all out, along with the ac. I do know for sure it needs a tps and iac, I used the procedures in the tech articles here to draw this conclusion. I bought a new thermostat but haven't put that in yet car, doesn't have an air damn and doesn't heat up past 100* , so says the gauge. Doesn't overheat, top hose is hot enough to keep your hand warm when holding it. Drivability is fine as far as the motor goes, tranny has a shifting issue I'm working out but for what I got it for I can't complain to much.

Got her home. Drove very well, didn't repeat the problem. Tried to really create the conditions right be for it lost power and stalled the first time so it could do it again but no such luck. Probably gonna be one of those intermittent problems that's gonna irradiate me to no end.
