87 gta runs great without MAF power
i have been having a problem with my 87 gta.I have a 87 trans am project car where i use the relays from my gta to solve a problem on the TA. fixed the TA.I put the relays back on my GTA Now i have a problem with gta..ughh! The GTA now has a mis and stumble off the top of throttle.I unpluged the maf power relay and that mis stumble goes away, but i have a service engine light. when i plug the relay back in the mis and stumble are back but NO engine light..I just replaced the MAf power relay thinking that was the problem.

Re: 87 gta runs great without MAF power
Seriously doubtful that a MAF will suddenly go bad, just sitting & not doing anything.
Double check which relay you used for each plug. 2 of the plugs are the same & the relays appear to be the same, but 1 has an extra "circuit" inside it, yet the plugs will plug into either one.
You could try swapping those 2 plugs & I bet it'll be alive again.

I went back a forth checking part numbers on here matching them to relays. So as far as i know its all matched rt. Now today when i went to the start it up with the maf power still unplugged it ran the same as it did when i had it pluged in.It only started to run better as it warmed up?
