White vent valve to gas tank

I am trying to find where I can find the white vent valve that is on one of the gas lines that goes to the gas tank. I misplaced mine when pulling the tank. Also, is this a necessity or can I go without. This is probably not the area to post this, but I could not find a specific area for this question. I have tried local autoparts stores and no one ones seems to have them. I have also tried e bay. Any help is appreciated.

You could try posting in the "parts wanted" classifieds section.

I have one, but one of the tangs that holds it in the bracket is broken off.

I think I could find it, anyway...

Hello marcos beltran!!

Yes, you need this vent valve, you will have problems without it!!

Have you tried your local GM dealer for this?

I bought two of them from my CDN GM dealer in Dec!!

Try www.compnine.com $39.46 part # 10033125

Try www.gmpartsdirect.com part # 10033125 it will change up to another number according to their web site!!

Without this, you will have gas leak out of your gas tank when you fill it up!!

Re: White vent valve to gas tank

If you get that gas smell on fill up, do you have any leakage beneath the car as well? There was a recall for that condition. You might want to look into that.
