I need some help
Ok I have 2 issues.
1 I did a oil flush then changed the oil I put in mobil high milage 10w30 added Engine Restore and put 160 degree thermostat all at the same time. now my oil pressure is halfway mark between 0 and 30 psi even when cold. but when I am idling in drive it goes almost to 30 as soon as I hit the gas the needle drops. I just took the car on a trip from fl to wi and back (2900 miles) in a week. It ran fine doesnt tick or knock. What could be going on?
2 I got home from my trip and I now have a fuel leak It is only leaking while the fuel pump is running. I cant tell where it is coming from but it is dripping onto the tank shield. Is there a common issue here, could it be the pump or just a hose or line?
thank you for taking the time to read this.

These gauges are far from perfect, even when they were new. You can try a new oil pressure sender, but the gauges in these cars are more for "sporty looks" than for real world accuracy. As long as you have oil pressure, and the gauge fluctuates, then you know the oil is there, and moving - the two things you really NEED.
Might check around the filler tube for gas tank - they often develop a leak there, and it might be running down the side to the tank shield. Jack the car as high as you can (use a 2x4 or 4x4 under the jack) - jack under the differential. Get stands under the car on the frame rails just in front of the LCA's (where they connect to body, just in front of there), and slowly lower the rear end as far as you can (remove wheels) until the brake rubber line on driver side starts to stretch (don't stretch it) - then you can get your head up in there and see around the gas tank a bit better.

Re: I need some help
I just had it in for the filler neck recall and mine was still good. It only leaks when the pump is running so that should make the filler neck exempt. I will get a oil sending unit after I get the car back from getting headers and valve stem seals done. I would rather pay someone to do headers and valve stem seals Its too much of a headache to do it without a lift.

Well the fuel leak is gone. This morning I went out started the car crawled under and no leaks drove it around still no leaks and no gas smell. Whats the chances the car said it doesnt want to be driven for 18 hours straight with out a break and decided to spring a leak just to teach me a lesson. Has anyone dealt with this?
