Wanting to remove AC and SMOG from 305, HELP!

I have a bone stock 1992 Camaro RS with the 305. I'm wanting to remove both the AC and the smog system from this motor. My AC does not work, and I don't care for it to work because I wont be using it. And the smog system as we all know is worthless as well, just a parasitic setup that robs our already weak 305 motors. I read up on how to remove the smog system in the tech articles but I'm wondering what else has to be done when removing the AC compressor?? If anybody can help that would be amazing, pictures help as well haha.

I'm guessing that I need an AC delete pulley so I can still use the tensioner huh? Hmm... Or is there a way to delete the AC and not use a delete pulley.

Do you have emissions in your state? if so you might not want to remove your smog.

You can remove one or the other without a delete pulley like you read, but you have to get a delete pulley to remove both. Napa sells for about $30 I think, get the A/C delete pulley then follow that tech article.

And I live in the one city in the entire state of MO without a NAPA. I wonder if other parts stores carry them...

First get your ac delete pulley, for the smog pump, you can remove all that trash, you will want to get a 968k6 belt to start, get it all set up, the route to re run this is a sticky on the main page this link will take u there https://www.thirdgen.org/serpentine, If you absolutly need pics, msg me as I just did this a few days ago.

Re: Wanting to remove AC and SMOG from 305, HELP!

The 968k6 translates to a belt with 6 ribs, that is 96.8 inches long - which is hard to find exactly - no one makes them but only in 1/2 inch increments anymore, so you'll have to test different belt sizes - I'd buy a 95, 95.5, 96, 96.5, 97 while I was at the store, and return the 4 you don't need. When I did mine think I needed a 95 inch, but everyone says you need a 96.8 inch
