i thought that was for the cruise control? mine is not hooked up at all because my cruise control does not work. maybe someone could verify for me i am talking about the little canister your referring too

What you have pictured is the cruise control. But, no - you do not use a TV cable with a manual tranny.

yeah i think that is what its for also. TV cable I believe is for automatic transmissons so when you get on it the trans will shift down a gear. Junior Member

Thats the cruise control actuator indeed, A TV cable is located between the TV and the cable box you silly goose. Not sure how or why all these GM's run a TV cable from the car to the living room
