So heres what i have. I bought an 88 gta on thursday. i already have an 88 IROC and love it so i figure wth. Ok so this car has alot of bolt on stuff done, AIR removed, headers,flowmasters all the way back, with i think like a 40 series muff,k&n drop in, Accel fuel pressure gauge with and adjustable fuel pressure regulator with "said to be" Accel injectors. msd box and blaster coil(i dont think this is the problem but i can get you the model if anyone thinks it could be)I dont know about a chip. I have not pulled the computer out yet.
When I try to start the car, if I let the pump build pressure, it seems to flood out instantly, so I just go straight from off to start and most times it will go first crank. Then after driving the car say 5 minutes at 2000 rpm it seems to want to die if you open the throttle body up. any one have any thoughts. The throttle body is stock bore because it still has the rp on the butterflies. sometimes it seems to start easier with the filter tube removed from the tb, sometimes not and when it starts to run rough if you pull the filter tube off it wants to die.
....And sometimes it runs like a ferrari compared to the iroc

 

it almost seems like the old carb reversion problem alot of harleys have but thats just to give an idea of how it runs...sometimes

 

"I have had the similar problem happen to me. But I fixed it, So... (in situation) It will start up, run fine. You can drive it but only while pressing the gas down slowly and gradually. Then right when you start to put more gas on it... It starts to like "hic-up" if you will. It starts to like boggel out and seems like it wants to stall, sometimes it does, sometimes it just runs REALLY REALLY sluggish if you hold the gas then right when you let it go... it runs perfect. Add a "little" gas it runs smooth. And I mean a little. Add anything more than that and on it runs like ****...
