WTF?? codes 22,33,36 & 45 AAARGGG
WTF?? codes 22,33,36 & 45 AAARGGG
OK so I'm a little STRESSED.
I bought my 1987 GTA in December of 2009, It ran great for about a year. I was running an errand & all of a sudden the car just loses power & starts to over heat.(broken heater hose, fixed) I take the car out the next week and my check engine light is on. I get a code 22. So I check my POS Haynes manual and see it probably is TPS sensor...Replaced. I could only get voltage to .46. I've tried everything I know & followed suggestions from posts on this site. So this is what has been replaced:Vacuum hoses(vacuum is solid at 17)
TPS sensor(pigtail also)
IAC valve(pigtail also)
now as of today my idle is at 1800 RPM & I got codes 22,33,36 & 45. Any suggestions? Thanks for looking.

When I unplug MAF sensor RPM's go down. It revs & runs better in Idle. I've tried tapping on MAF sensor & have not noticed any change in RPM's, only when I disconnect it does the car seem to run better. I have tried to drive it this way, only up & down the driveway(100 yards) & car starts to stall & backfire.

Looks like you've got a bad MAF sensor. You might want to shoot a pm to ASE Doc or camaronewbie and see what they think. Nothing wrong with a second or third opinion.
