easy way to remove thermostat..

i haev an 86 iroc 305 TPI, and was curious as if there was a way to just unbolt the 2 housing bolts to remove it, instead of taking the plenum apart. im running a 195 in there and not having good luck so i was planning on going with a 180, just curious as if there were ways to get it out easilly. last time i did was when we did the heads and replaced the top half, so that wasnt an issue

I'll admit I'm not familiar with TPI relevant spacing, but could you just remove the TB to give you enough clearance?

I don't claim to be a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last week .
