well I appreciate all the help. I think i am going to replace the entire dist..What do you think about the pick up coil. If it is bad could it misfire like that. I could have damaged a wire when removing..By the time I figure it out I could have just bought a new dist, but it bugs me when I have a problem with one of my cars and I cant figure out exactly whats wrong with it.. I do all my mechanical work myself, And eventually I do figure out the problem. It is great to have forums like these to help a shade tree mechanic out. anyways what do you guys think of the pick up coil being bad.. Thanks for any help..
