Is my valvetrain too noisy?
Is my valvetrain too noisy?

There's a video of my new engine.
Its a 383 with Comp Cams factory replacement roller lifters, and factory GM spider and dogbones, Comp Magnum pushrods, and Comp Ultra Magnum 1.6 ratio rockers.
I've adjusted the valves after the first start, adjusting one rocker at a time every 45* of crank rotation. I snugged up the locknut, then gave it an extra 1/4 turn.
The engine has less than 30 minutes of runtime, and hasn't been driven at all.
I don't know if this amount of valvetrain noise is normal for the combination of parts I have. I know full roller rockers are supposed to make more noise than stamped ones, but this still seems excessive. What do you guys think?

Sounds about right to me- I couldn't tell if they were roller tip, or full roller, but it sounds about similar to mine under the same conditions. Lots of ticking.
Mine's hyraulic flat tappet w/ 1.6 aluminum rollers.

Re: Is my valvetrain too noisy?
Ok, I readjusted my valves again. My comp literature says preload should be a full turn instead of 1/4 turn.
I noticed that two lifters were easy to push down. they both seemed to pump back up a little bit during my valve adjustments, and then after running for a minute or so, I checked again, and one of them is still kinda spongy, but had gotten firmer with running.
Is it normal for a couple lifters lose their "prime" when turning the motor over slowly like I was doing during adjustment?
