totally frustrated over this motor!!!
alright, changed my 305 with a rebuilt stock 355, new wires, plugs, 350 knock sensor, 350 esc module, 350 fuel injectors, and 350 custom computer chip. I've changed the radiator with a full aluminum one, high volume oil pump. I could go on with more stuff I've done with this car, but the problem is that it still does not run good after I finally changed out the computer chip. I was hopeing it would be the end of it, but it ran fine for awhile with the 305 chip in, but now it seems to be starving for more fuel after the 350 chip was put in. I still have to set the timing for the distributor and cam, and I'm betting on the fact that I might have to attend to the fuel pump, because of the fuel amount the motor is needing isn't getting there. I don't know why it would run fine with the 305 and be so different with the 350. I had a problem before that the motor would stall after I put it in gear, still have that problem, but now the motor won't run as long. Would there be anything else that would come up as a problem that anybody else could think of????

who did the chip? if its a cheap mail order one, they are usually a disaster.
does it still run fine with the 305 chip?

ordered the chip from tbichips.com got it last night put in like 2 hours ago, right after I put it in, it ran fine sounded better, before it took like 5 minutes to settle down, it settled down lots quicker. I'm not so sure if it is a chip problem but what the chip is changing towards other problems like fuel issues??

your confusing me. now your saying so its running fine now???
if the chip is using more fuel, and the pump is weak, it would cause an issue. if the pump is original, it may be a good idea to replace it anyway.

that is what happened right after I change the chip, no it is not running any better right now. Is there an additional pump I could add to the fuel line to give it a boost? I'd rather do that than change the whole fuel pump, unless I wouldn't have any other choice.
