Gasket leftovers

Is this clean enough for new intake gaskets? I think the intake is pretty decent now but still some minor crap on heads.

I spent at least 5 hours on these things. 90% came off fine but last 10% stuck on way too much! Turned out a hammer worked best to break up the thicker spots to be able to scrape them clean. BUt there is still some residue. The intake I bit the bullet and used light pressure with 400grit on an orbital.

The tought spots are around the coolant passages. Even Aircraft paint remover does not work.

Are they clean enough now?

Re: Gasket leftovers

Hammer? Orbital sander?

What about a razor blade or lightly wire wheel?

Re: Gasket leftovers

trust me, a plastic putty knife is the first thing I tried, then a metal one. Then a razor, then chemicals. This stuff is stuck on!
