IAC Issue
I took my throttle body off and cleaned it with throttle body cleaner. It was pretty gummed up inside but ran awesome, with no issues. Ever since I did that my throttle sticks at 1500 rpm. When I blip the throttle it idles down to around 850 rpm. I took the IAC out and took it apart and cleaned and oiled it. I reset the tps to .55.
I tried to do the idl reset and put in the paper clip turned the ignition to the on position. Waited 30 seconds shut the key off and unpluged the IAC, as soon as I start the car it reves to 2000 rpm and will not come down period. Am I doing something wrong here or do I have a bad TPS or IAC? I can see my throttlbody arm staying open and when I push it down it idles fine until I step on the gas again. I did lube the throttle blades too. Do I need a new throttle body? Any help would be great as I am at my witts end with this problem.

Check the alignment of the gasket to the throttle body, or for any gunk left inside the throttle body in the area of the butterflies.
If you can see the throttle arm is not physically returning to idle, then it isn't something that doesn't hold the throttle open.

Re: IAC Issue
Ive looked at every thing and I am not seeing the issue. It was fine up until I cleand the TB. I just put a new TPS on and that didn't help. I bought a new IAC valve but don't want to put it on till I can verify the problem.

Re: IAC Issue
I put a carb spring on my throttle body and that cured the problem, but it's not corect way to fix. Do I need to buy a new throttle body? Anyone use the factory ported 52mm ones on e-bay? I really don't want to sepend 300 bucks or buy another used one to have the same issues.

Re: IAC Issue
Detach the cable and see if the throttle returns smoothly. Does the throttle itself have any tightness or a sticky spot in it? If not, suspect a frayed throttle cable. Carefully check the throttle shaft for excessive wear. If the shaft has movement up and down, it's got excessive wear and this may be why it's stickng.
