350 cam suggestions?
350 cam suggestions?
I have a 88 tran am with a tbi 350. It is flat cam engine but does have vortec heads. I'm going carbd with edelbrock dual plane or rpm performer not sure yet and a 650. Basically want a somewhat aggressive cam kit that's not gonna be too hard on valve terrain, lookin for some suggestions. Also suggestions on intake and carb? Thanks alot

comp cams xe262 is what ive run for a while and been happy with it. if i were to do it over again id go with a roller instead of a flat tappet. more expensive though...

Re: 350 cam suggestions?
i had an edelbrock manifold crack on me at the coolent passage. that was probably an isolated insodent, but nevertheless, the only thing edelbrock on my car now is a sticker
650 sounds good for size. shouldnt need any bigger for a 350

your vortec heads are a positive
if youve got the money, some machining to the heads would be worth it while they are off the block.
