carb vs tpi

i have a nice running 383 and built 35oth trans and a buddy of mine has a clean 87 iroc he might be selling. If i was to buy the car i would like to put my motor and trans in it. Heres the thing............my combo works "BUT" i would love to try the tpi setup for looks and fuel injection part of it. I know it will need to be upgraded if i did the tpi but would it be worth it? can a tpi be made to support 500 plus horse power? whats involved in changing over?

Re: carb vs tpi

Sure; easy; with 150 - 200 HP of nitrous. Not much other way.

You'd need the fuel system (high pressure pump & lines), the computer, wiring, sensors, etc.

"Worth it" is in the eye of th eguy writing the check. Wouldn't be if that guy was me. Others may feel differently.
