Stupid jacking up question

I need the wheels to hang freely, so instead of the a-arms where should i put jack stands.

Read a thread to jack it up from the cross member under the engine?

Re: Stupid jacking up question

Put your floor jack under the center of the K-member, which is the big piece you see up under there in between the exhaust and the steering linkage. Put your stands just in front of the big holes in this pic, which is just behind and inboard of the tires.

Re: Stupid jacking up question

Thanks a lot.

I screwed myself...

While trying to remove the pump(taking brackets with it) I stripped the last nut . Its behind the pump in like a little pocket.

What should I do? So friggin frustrated
