91 bird v6.problem with bank 2 injec

Engine: 3.1

91 bird v6.problem with bank 2 injec

ok here it is..i just picked this car up for 500 becous of this problem.when i went to get the car it would start hard then fire up then stall out the last owner tossed parts to fix it but no luck..things replaced...disribuiter.plugs/wires.ecm.fuel filter...so after i got it home i played around and here is what i found..if i pull the fues out for the bank 2 injec the car will start and run and mabey has enought power to get it in and out of my garage and boy does it burn gas ...so what i did was check the ohm's of all 6 injecters and my meter is goofy and i cant read it (just dont know how)..but all 6 tested the same so next i check for a short in the injec wires..all good there..but well messing around i turned the crank pully and it will spin about 1in both ways and i hear a kida click...like timeing chain slap...so could it be that the timeing jumped ? but that still leavs me asking why it wont run with the fues in....i know with time i can fig this out but its getting nice out and cruzin with the t-tops off seems nicer sooner then later lol thanks for any help

Do you mean you can turn the crank pulley by hand? Or with a wrench? If by hand that sounds bad as do the sounds you can hear. Sounds worse than a 'jump'. Whatever is going on it sounds like you need to open it up.

yeah its by hand and i pulled the cap off and going back and forth till i here it catch(just the sount it makes) the rotor dont move...thats why i think the timeing chain amungs other things could be an issue..but it only has 114k i just wanna make sure b4 i rip it down that the chain slap isint becous it has a bad chain dampiner..i know my stuff when it comes to car but im sum what lost when it comes to FI cars and the reason is a rochester never gave me **** like this..i have a nicely built poncho 350 i can put in her but i would like a slick car that gets more then 8mpg.....i know i tend to ramble so if you need to know something spasific just ask lol

It sounds like nothing at all to do with the FI. Off hand I can't think of any way you could turn the crank pulley by hand unless it was broken somehwere. Anyone else? I would stop trying to start it and get the front off the engine to start with and see what's messed up in there. Definitely sounds like something is.

It is common for the timing chain to stretch like crazy in these engines. Usually need to replace them every 80K miles.

Your injectors are bad, just replace them with a set from South Bay Injectors.

yeah there in nothing wrong with the engin inturnls i can start the car and i can rev it and its smooth no knocks ...so i think your right rbob it has streched..but im still stumped with the injecters it makes sence that one is burned out but thay all check out fine .....
