Re: starter problem

Im going through the same problem almost. Except i swapped engines and now mine wont crank. Check the crk fuse under your dash. Makr sure the starters bolted to the engine correctly because it only grounds out when its tight against the block.

Obviously not.

All wires going to the starter connect to the larger starter terminal, along with the pos battery cable. Only the purple wire goes to the smaller terminal, all by itself. Did you connect it like that?

Re: starter problem

Make sure that the Neutral switch isn't creating the problem, I rewired mine because the starter failed to turn over because the connection are so bad. Had to eliminate it, I put in a starter button and eliminated the switch all together

Re: starter problem

I have put in numerous starters in our always wonderful cars.I do know where wires go. But I'm not getting any juice to the purple wire. Going to track it down tonight.
