iroc losing power?
My Iroc is my daily driver atm from school to work (20 miles) and whenever I first start her I really don't let her warm up to long. Anyways" occasionally" I feel the need to gun in within the first minute or so of driving and the car feels SO powerful I can break lose at 20-25 if I really put my foot down. Its the stock 5.7 with only a exhaust cutout and gutted airbox. However, after a couple minutes of driving the car feels well.. dead? Like when it gets warmed up it doesn't want to do anything. I mean it still has a little kick but nothing like the first minute or so each morning. Sometimes I can't break tires lose from a standstill? I thought that it might be that the engine knows its cold so it pumps more fuel into it for that short time or maybe the air is much colder? Maybe something is wrong? Id appreciate any suggestions. (Searched this but couldn't find much)

a car will always run faster when cold, but its not good to be gunnin it when it is, due to the fact that the oil is still thick. It cant get in between rotating parts, like the crank and bearings, as easily as warmed up oil does possibly resulting in accelerated bearing wear.

Your car is kind of like your body, when you are first starting to run you can go pretty fast. But after you start to sweat and get hot it makes it harder to run. Kind of like when I am in football practice it's easy in the beginning but when I start to sweat and get hot it becomes hard to think and function. So dont worry, pretty much all of our cars are like that!
