hi guys, so i have swapped in a carb'd 305 with an electronic ignition. also my plugs, wires, cap, rotor and ign module are all brand new. so i would start my car and it would run well, revved in park or whatever. i could drive it about a half mile and it would stall out, it would have to sit like ten minutes and it would fire up again. this time i was able to drive it a mile or so before it stalled, i waited about an hour and started it back up, drove it almost all the mile back, but this time i dont have any spark and cant get it to restart. i suspsect that the ign module is bad again, but could anyone lend a suggestion on why the car would stall out all of a sudden and not want to restart? any help would be greatly appreciated

 

i replaced the ignition module today, the car starts fine and idles, i topped off the tank and added a little sea foam to clean up the carb jets a little, yet it will randomly stall while driving. can anyone help me out?

 

Does it stall while turning or while your braking?

 

no, it hasnt done that ever, i will be on the gas either barely or like 1/4 or anything and it just dies

 

i had a problem like that a while ago. I just have to ask .... have you checked the timing. or played with it a little?

 

i have adjusted it little by little to see if it made any difference but i havent found anything that works
