Okay so I posted on here awhile back about my car failing smog because of a leak somewhere near the gas lines near the gas tank. Well I finally crawled under there and this is what I saw. I noticed the other day I was reving it up for a good 4-5 mins too see if there was actually a leak because everytime I do rev it the fumes in the car get stronger. And there looked like there was a puddle around the area of the fuel lines where the gas tank is.

 

Ya I'm pretty sure that hose that is disconnected is the air hose or whatever u call it. It's not suppose to be connected to another hose or anything

 

Looks like the mud dawbers have filled it with spiders and dirt.

There should be something connected to it - I think it's for the check valve vent. 3 lines run to front of car, 4th is a vent that acts like a check valve - it's white (minus road grime), round about 1.5 inches diameter.

 

So the one that is sorta orange looking is suppose to have some kinda check valve on it than?

After lookin around I realized there's no check valve present would this be causing fumes to get into the car?
