i need wiring harness help please!!!!!!
i have an 82 with what i thought was a 305 tpi out of an 87 i got a wiring harness for it and the one i got is set up for a coil on the nose of of engine i have an hei distributor in back of engine is my year wrong? i need to know what year harness i can get to atleast get the car back running

The coil on an 87 TPI is mounted on the passenger side of the engine about 4 inches from the distributor. It sits on a bracket that attaches via the two rear intake manifold bolts.
