cut wires

i had the motor out to put in a different one and while it was out i got rid of some of the wiring. I only cut wires that did not go to anything. But now to roll the windows up i hit down and to roll them down i hit up. And nothing inside the car works now either. Also fuel pump doesnt kick on. What did i do? as i didnt cut any wire that was connected on both ends. What wires have to run from one side to the other?

Its a 1992 firebird thats carb'd

Re: cut wires

Check to make sure you didn't accidentally bump/pull the C100 connector out a little. This connector provides power to the interior and sensor data to the dash. The C100 is located next to the brake booster:

Re: cut wires

checked that its tight. Do i need the computer in the car at all if its carburated? And my dash lights work but my head lights dont come up. It turns over but none of my auto meter gauges work. Also the defroster light is stuck on. But if i dont need the computer i will take it out and eliminate more wiring. This is gonna be a drag/street car so i just need lights and blinkers none of the gauges work anyways.

Re: cut wires

NEVER, EVER, EVER, CUT A WIRE!!! Just because it doesn't appear to do anything doesn't mean it won't affect something.
