So when i bought my 1988 bird I knew when i got it that it leaked coolant from the intake manifold. Not a HUGE deal, Just recently got to replacing it and it spat some fire out the throttle body, Cool however not what i want when i put a new intake manifold gasket in my car. It didn't backfire anymore but it lost any form of power that it ever had and when i got 5 miles down the road it stalled and wouldn't start again. Turns out its leaking from the front of the block, Which is unfortunate cuz i used about a half tube of mega black rtv sealant on it. Anybody know what I may have done wrong? I relatively know what i'm doing when it comes to cars and I was pretty confident in the work but apparently i'm an idiot and i don't even know why yet lol.
