Cold air intake

Wasn't sure which board this would best be posted on...

I would like to take the cold air induction assembly from a 5.0 carbureted 1984 Firebird and put it on a 1988 Firebird. My 88 has the "turbo bulge" hood. Is it going to fit without any major alterations?

Re: Cold air intake

Are u referring to the snorkel that came on carbed 305s?

What fuel delivery does your 88 car have? If it's TBI use an open air element. If it's TPI no change is needed.

Re: Cold air intake

Its a 305 TBI V-8 and it has the "turbo bulge" hood which I'd like to take advantage of and use a cold air intake which I located on an 84.
