89 T/A starter question
Trying to install a new starter, and was wondering if it was my imagination that tells me I have to drop the exaust to get it out. if so,I will just chg the solenoid, since I can get to it.It only acts up when its hot. And due to corosion I know the exa. bolts are going to break if I try and remove them, making eng removal to replace a starter mandatory.I love this car but Im REALLY strating to hate it.lol

Re: 89 T/A starter question
I have wiggled one out before without removing exhaust with no problem - just takes patience, a few muscle cramps, and some ingenuity.
One way to really help release the bolts is use of PB Blaster - a squirt a day for a few days, letting it work it's way in there, does wonders is releasing stubborn bolts.
