OK guys - I need some help. I have an '88 305 TBI 5 spd car. I just installed an L98 cam and a Jeg's double roller timing gear set. I've done this numerous times before but this is my first time on a computer controlled, hydraulic roller cam motor. The distributor should be set correctly and I have timed the car to 6 degrees BTDC. I am getting plenty of fuel. The valves should be properly adjusted. When I attempt to start the car, she'll fire a couple of times and then nothing. I have put my timing light on cylinders #1 and #6 and the light blinks, so I assume that I am getting fire to the spark plugs. The diagnostic port shows only "12's". The motor has a new distributor cap and rotor; the plug wires are almost new; new spark plugs; almost new MSD coil; new battery; new PCV valve. Can anyone give me a push in the right direction? I would appreciate your input. Thanks.
