Has anyone swapped out their saginaw power steering unit with a GM type II? I am getting real tired of the impossible to get to bolts on the aftermarket power steering brackets and I am considering swapping to a type II with remote reservoir.
Will the lines from the saginaw work or will I need new ones? The lines summit sells says for up to 1978 so I am figuring that after 1978 it's metric or something.
It's frustrating to have to remove the pulley on the power steering pump to get to some of the mounting bolts.
