91 z donut problem...
i have a 91 z l98. i used to be able to bust donuts like nothing back not that long ago....then i bought some new tires and i i havent done any, so i wont waste my 245s(expensive tire)... it still burns tires like crazy just by taking off. i tried to do a donut yesterday and it feels like one tire locks.... and does not want to do them.........what could be the problem... i did the gear oil change... but did not add posi additive.... could this be the problem?? some liquid??? or my rear end is just old and abused????

Do a burnout in a straight line and see if you leave 2 black stripes. If you dont your posi is done.

Donuts = child's play. Why put your car through this abuse? Only serves to lessen the life of the tranny, rear gears, posi unit, etc. Do you not like the car?

Man lighten up. If you can't play with your car when you feel like it what's the point of the car? Or life. We all play (I hope) in different ways. It's America after all. Excuse me while I get off your lawn.

You should also do some killer "neutral drops" too for added fun before doing donuts ! Tach your motor up to 4000 rpms or so then slam it into drive !
Your friends will be so impressed.................
Think of all that impressive tire smoke !

I just had to get new tires too. Can someone figure out why this happens?

Re: 91 z donut problem...
The spring in the dif has become weak. Either your clutches/cones spring are worn and need replaced or shimmed to increase the torque capacity of the diff. I over shim mine a tad. You dont want to go to crazy with your shimming because it'll wear your clutches/cones waaay to fast.
